A can of clams and a few other common ingredients is all you need to make this delicious meal. If thyme is not to your liking it can be omitted.
The next time I make this instead of using thyme and basil I may use 1 tsp Italian seasoning.
Preheat oven to 375.
Ingredients:
1 TBS olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
Cook onion in oil for 5 minutes
3 cloves garlic, minced
Add garlic and cook 1 minute more. Remove from heat.
Combine to the above:
6.5 OZ can of minced clams with juice
1 tsp dried oregano and 1 tsp dried thyme (1 - 2 tsp Italian seasoning can be substituted or leave all of it out and just use salt and pepper)
1 egg
1/2 C seasoned bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste.
Mix well.
Lightly butter the inside of each ramekin dish.
6 tsp melted butter to pour on top of the mixture.
Divide the mixture equally between the 3.
Drizzle 1-2 tsp butter on top of each dish.
Bake at 375 for 15 minutes.
This would go well with your favorite crackers.
