Yupiteru MVT 8000 Memory Capacitor Fun (4K)

A fellow Amateur Radio friend asked me to look at this receiver. The memory was not holding. It bought back memories of changing these double layered or "gold" caps in my video recorder as the clock backup no longer worked. These capacitors were ideal for backup of cmos memory's. I guess the EEPROM has taken over in many cases. Theses caps were the granddaddy of the supercaps we now have.
