Zones Tutorial

This video introduces tho Zones feature available in Sensmap and also the valuable statistics that can be provided by SAGE Analytics by using Zones. Available in RTLS Studio v1.4.x. See more: http://www.sewio.net Transcript: Hi, in this tutorial we are going to show you our zone system. Zones are virtual, user drawn objects for taking control over selected areas. The possible usage of zones is either for real-time notification, or for historical analysis over zones. Here is a video example of what real-time notifications looks like. You may have noticed there are several types of zones with different colors made for different purposes. The notifications might be captured in our sensmap visualisation software, or through websocket API. On the other hand, the zones might be used in data analysis. It doesn't matter when the zones were created, once you draw them it's like there has been a zone forever. Here are few examples of zone's usage in the data analysis. Let's draw few zones in our sensmap software. Drawing is started via pencil button in Zones menu inside of the RTLS tab. Clicking on the plan marks the corners of our newly created zone. Holding shift button on your keyboard makes the lines perpendicular. Once we finish drawing our zone, we specify it's name and type and click on the save button to finish our zone. As soon as we created our first zone, we recieved new notification about tag entering this zone. Let's draw some more zones. Zones might as well be deleted inside of the zone's edit menu. There is also a zone drawing software in the 1.4.0 version of our sage analytics software. There are few features not included in sensmap. Zones might be moved and edited in this zone editor. Here is an example of drawing a zone either by holding left mouse button and creating a rectangle, or by clicking on the plan and specifying corners. Zone deletion is done via cross button in zones control floating panel. Let's take a look at some charts in our dashboard using zones. For example first time in zone chart shows us, when the tag entered zone in selected time period for the first time. Zone map shows us how long the tag was inside of the zone and comparison to other zones and other tags if specified. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.
