εγώ (ego) is a contemporary dance piece based on the three distinct elements of Sigmund Freud's Map of the Human Psyche: The Id, the Ego and the Super-ego. Two dancers assume the roles of the Id and the Super-ego - their movement, appearance, and occasional use of unison representing a developing human mind as it deals with tension, conflict and peace. Whilst watching the interaction between Id and Super-ego, a viewers' response to Ego is essentially a glimpse into their own consciousness.......
