The temperatures are getting colder and we’re prepared at Country Needleworks! Today, on Monday Marketplace, we have another new yarn that we’re excited about. Queensland Lapin is a fingering weight yarn made from 40% Angora, 20% Polyamide (Cashmere Touch) and 40% Polyamide with 437 yards per skein. The sweater Sue is wearing is called Tanya showcasing a textured stitch, knitted flat and sewn together. One other pattern that Queensland has specifically for this yarn is Ada, a hat, cowl and gloves combination. There is a crocheted version, too, called Eliza. Elena is also a crocheted shawl pattern. The Angora adds softness and a halo to the project similar to a mohair. This week we are displaying some beautiful yarn bowls. We have ceramic bowls with etched designs made by a local potter. We also carry some smaller wooden bowls of different colors. These are a great way to keep your yarn contained as you knit! If you have any other questions, please call the store at 616-457-9410 or email us at: [email protected]
