Continuing in 2 Samuel, we review chapter 13's details about how Absalom took revenge on Amnon, and then chapter 14 covers how Joab uses the wise woman from Tekoa to convince David to bring Absalom back to Jerusalem from his maternal home Geshur. As we do we note the passivity and prayerlessness of David, and we remind ourselves to stand strong in the power of the gospel which saves us entirely. We need not and must not allow guilt to cripple us. When Jesus says it's paid it full, it's paid in full!
