Time lapse of the 2017 total solar eclipse near Salem, Oregon, with varying exposures selected for creative effect. Captured on a Nikon D500 300-500mm with 1.4xTC. Partial eclipse was ISO 100 f8 1/640 with Baader solar filter, one photo a minute. Totality was bracketed. Focus was sharp on the spots initially, but drifted off. Not the most stable tripod setup, as evidenced by the jitter. Used an iOptron SkyGuider, but the polar alignment was not perfect, hence the drift. Learned a lot of lessons for 2019 :)
