29: Level the Floor
Let's level a concrete floor. First we have to map out the peaks and valleys of the floor in order to figure out how much leveler we need. Join me as I walk you through this process and give you pointers on using an eight foot level, marking the floor, measuring the space, and finally calculating the amount of leveler. Retrofitting an old house to the Passive House (Passivhaus) standard is difficult, expensive, and time consuming. It's also totally worth it after you're finished. Your entire quality of life improves with better indoor air quality, uniform heating and cooling year round, and perhaps most rewarding, a tiny energy foot print. Which of course makes it easy to go net zero. By incorporating a geothermal heat pump, phase change materials, and a shit load of insulation! you can achieve your energy efficiency goals of becoming net zero cheaply and easily. Join me as I walk you through this process so that you too can live without paying utility bills, in a supremely comfortable and affordable home. #passivehouse #passivhaus #netzero #paulspassivehouse #greenenergy #retrofit #construction #interiordesign For more information on Passive House visit:: https://passivehouse.com/ https://www.phius.org/passive-building/what-passive-building/passive-building-principles https://passivehouse-international.org/index.php?page_id=150
