3. Claude Code Extension for VS Code

Claude Code now runs directly inside VS Code. In this tutorial I install the official Claude Code extension by Anthropic, open the panel from the editor, and have Claude explain a file, find a bug, and apply a fix — all without leaving VS Code. 🧩 Extension Search "Claude Code" in the VS Code Extensions tab.
