General arithmetic operations are done on them like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and modulo. The #operators operate on the operands to give the result. ‘+’ for addition, ‘-’ for subtraction, ‘*’ for multiplication, ‘/’ for division and ‘%’ for the remainder. ‘=’ acts as the assignment operator.
