New Functional Developments, or FD's, are like Service Packs in frequency, but like MAJOR RELEASES in Functionality!
A 3DEXPERIENCE FD update means new Roles, New Apps, and updates to existing tools. That means you will need to update a few things locally if you are running SOLIDWORKS Desktop or 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS.
The process is easy but it helps to see it live since new FD's are being release often along with new and exciting capabilities.
Here we will update the SOLIDWORKS Connector in the Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS Role to get SOLIDWORKS Desktop users on the new release as well as a SOLIDWORKS Connected user updating to the latest and greatest version of SOLIDWORKS with no effort at all.
