5 seconds till midnight
Five Seconds Till Midnight Bell… Bell… Bell… Yeah… Hear that? That ain’t church bells. That’s a warning. Every ring a second gone. Every echo closer to midnight. They say the clock don’t tick for no one… But tonight? It’s screaming. Bell… Five seconds. Five seconds till midnight, tell me who we blame? World on fire, everybody pointing fingers, not the flame Preachers losing faith, politicians playing games Mama crying, kids dying, missiles falling like rain Five seconds till midnight, yeah the silence too loud Hands on the clock shaking while we screaming too proud If the world ends tonight, what we taking to the ground? Truth or lies? Love or pride? What survives when it’s down? Look— We got wars for profit, peace sold cheap Blood on the dollar, bodies piled six feet Tweets start riots, lies get views Truth handcuffed while the devil make the news We divided by color, religion, and flags While the clock keeps moving, we distracted by ads Got bombs with names, drones with aim Kids learn violence before they learn their name We pray when it’s bad, then forget when it’s good Say “God bless America” but don’t live like we should Church full on Sunday, empty in the street Love behind the pulpit, hate when we speak Clock say eleven fifty-nine and some change You feel that pressure? Yeah that’s guilt, not pain Five seconds till midnight, tell me who we blame? World on fire, everybody pointing fingers, not the flame Preachers losing faith, politicians playing games Mama crying, kids dying, missiles falling like rain Five seconds till midnight, yeah the silence too loud Hands on the clock shaking while we screaming too proud If the world ends tonight, what we taking to the ground? Truth or lies? Love or pride? What survives when it’s down? I see greed in a suit with a smile so clean Selling fear like it’s gasoline They don’t hear the sirens, they don’t smell the smoke They safe in the bunkers while we choking on hope We arguing online about who right or wrong While the planet screaming, “Y’all don’t got long” Ice caps melting, oceans rise But we worried ’bout likes, not the end of time Kids raised by screens, no guidance, no peace Anxiety loud, pills on repeat We built nukes faster than we built forgiveness Built walls quicker than bridges Clock don’t care about your status or race When it hit midnight, we all same place Bridge (half-sung / spoken) Tick… tick… hear it breathing Every second like God still pleading If this the end, let me stand for something Not likes, not money—something real, something bleeding What if midnight ain’t fire or war? What if it’s God walking out the door? Tired of warnings, tired of grace Tired of watching us waste our days I ain’t perfect, I’m part of the mess Got sins I hide, truths I suppress But I’m done pretending we got more time Like the clock ain’t real, like the line ain’t fine If I die tonight, let it mean something Let my words hit hearts, let my soul run free If this world ends, don’t bury me numb I wanna be found on my knees, not numb Five seconds till midnight, this a final call Love over ego, or we losing it all When the hands hit zero, hope’s the only thing found So I’m screaming this truth while the clock counting down Outro Tick… Tick… Five seconds. What you gonna do with ’em?
