5E Shadowrun - Character Creation

Shadowrun's priority system for character creation is clever in it's simplicity. There's certainly more going on that you need to get to grips with than in say: Dungeons & Dragons. But like so many games, once you know what you're looking at, it's fairly easy to understand and see the merits. For starters, the vast array of characters that are possible with this system is staggering, even when you only have the five base metahuman types the core rulebook starts you off with. You could play 100 games and, mechanically, never really make the same character twice. And the Mechanics of the character, how they function, is reflective of the story you want to create for you characters as well. The array of skills, magic, cyberware, bioware and qualities you can take for your character do so much to tell a great deal about who your character is, as well as do something for the game within its ruleset.
