What is Shadowrun?

As promised, we now take the plunge into a new game! And as you all know, we are talking about: Shadowrun. Shadowrun stands out as fairly unique in table top Rpg's; it's a Cyberpunk world with a high fantasy twist, where troll mages team up with Elven Deckers, Dwarf Riggers and Human Street Samurai to take on jobs from megacorporations, gangs, political parties, academic groups and pull them off against much the same. From locating lost lore in ancient ruins, to making forcible transfers of high value employees from one megacorp to another, the possibilities for missions and adventures are near endless. But setting aside, the game does have issues. The book layout is a mess and some rules are over complicated, even after you get to grips with the rules that are sensible and offer a great deal of flexibility in how you build and run your character.
