A Well Loved SKS

Based on a true story. Song: Mirror - Porter Robinson Back when I was entering my teens, my dad treated himself to an SKS that he had been wanting for years. He loved the rifle to bits and would always take it with him on hunting trips with friends and family. Turning 7.62x39mm into noise, memories and the occasional gamey dinner. Taking very good care of his beloved over his time with it; his one had a 14" inch paratrooper barrel which he was always VERY particular over, in addition to upgrading it from its classic wooden furniture into a synthetic Dragunov stock and fitting it with some sort of surplus optic mounted to a riser so that he could still use the iron sights. He did eventually have to sell it when the second buyback occurred, in addition to undoing some of his 'modifications,' but his passion for this old Soviet semi automatic was a formative part of my childhood and, not being a surface level popular gun like its AK cousin, peaked my curiosity into less mainstream boomsticks. Combined with video games; it spurred my burgeoning interest into learning more about firearms, leading to a pipeline into appreciating viewmodel animation and resulting in this channel and passion of mine being here today! He was my bigest fan, an unbeatable father, uncle and husband, and would have been 50 years old today. Love you man. Made in Blender 4.5 and rendered in Cycles at 60FPS, 4K resolution and a noise threshold of 0.01. This was a quick, but important one. Next one might be a bit as I deal with some exciting (and not so exciting) IRL stuff, but I should be back in full swing with some cool stuff to show by summer.
