During Achilles rehabilitation it’s important to start loading as soon as able. It’s also important to not overload beyond its capacity, thankfully we do have data and clinical expertise to load the Achilles just enough. We know how much energy goes through the Achilles during walking and so we also know movements and exercises that are less than this.
It’s ok to feel discomfort during the exercise but it shouldn’t be so painful it ruins your day.
