Active Bystanders
Being an active bystander is about choosing to say or do something to intervene if you witness discrimination or harassment. By doing this, you can send a clear message to the perpetrator and any other bystanders that their actions or behaviours are unacceptable. By standing together and taking an active stance against discrimination, sports clubs and community organisations can create a culture and environment where discrimination of any kind is not tolerated and everyone feels safe, welcome, included and valued. With the incredible support of members from the Yorkshire and Humber Anti-Racism in Sport Group, #Buddle explore what discrimination feels like, why it's important to speak out about it and what clubs and community organisations can do to ensure everyone is welcome, included and has an enjoyable experience of sport and physical activity.
