At its 2006 opening, the new Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, designed by Diller Scofidio and Renfro Architects, was hailed as the most beautiful building in Boston. Two years earlier (2004), students in the Fast Forward LineStorm Animation afterschool classes, in the old ICA building, created "Animating Pizzazz," a delightful video, hand-animated on flipbooks. The group animation spotlights eight important elements of the New ICA Building: Location, Materials, Function, Shape, Entrance, Floor, Stairs, and Roof. It's one very dramatic building!
