A busy Friday at Hangar 3 with lots going on, but the weather soon put a stop to some activities.
• Auster AOP Mk 1 ground run and cylinder pressure test. Was to be test flown but weather and a radio problem stopped play.
• Adam halfway through his conversion onto the AOP9 and looking good on it.
• Chipmunk undergoes ground runs and a test compass swing after plug changes on Delta, prior to a proper swing near Knock wood.
• Stephen Murray-Twinn and Julian Hickman ground run XT131 under a backdrop of growing storm clouds that eventually stopped play as the aircraft had to be hangered and refuelling suspended.
