For example: In gaming, there is an arithmetic function for actions within the game that awards players points. If a threat actor can discover this formula and understand how it is coded, they can augment it and cheat the game to get more points. Arithmetic obfuscation aims to increase the complexity of these functions, making it extermely difficult to modify them.
