Art journal flipthrough

My final completed art journal of 2023. Often I’ll use purchased sketchbooks, or make my own journals from altered books or waste paper, but this one started life as a 4” x 6” lined notebook. It was really fun and easy to do this one; perhaps because of the small size. The pages are filled with bright colours of abstract botanicals. It will definitely inspire my stitched textile work and it’s my mission for 2024 to turn these into fabric and embroidery art. Have you guessed which spread is my favourite?
