August 22-25, 2025 A widening of one of the bird cords presents a quite confusing optical illusion. Cleanup of the firewood site continues with renewed intensity to make room for another imminent two cords of 20-inch chunks. The hazelbrush thickets are ripening their fruits, as are the chokecherry trees. Life on the bog is about living life in the slow lane, observing and recording the artistry and serenity of the natural world. Insley and I live together on forty-acres of forest and bog, sharing frequent moments of unexpected wonder.
