Atalanta tribute

Atalanta, member of the Argonauts, devoted follower of Artemis and beloved wife of Hippomenes. Atalanta is unique among the other heroes of her time. For one major reason, Atalanta is one of the few heroes who’s a woman. Unlike today, women weren’t well respected and were seen as baby making machines, house keepers or pawns for political marriages. Atalanta made a name for herself by not only showing that just because she was a woman, it didn’t make her any less dangerous than any man. But also by doing things her own way. You wanted to marry her, you had to beat her in a race. And if you didn’t win, she’d kill you. And while she and her husband were made into lions, she and her husband spent the rest of their lives together alive and well. She has my respect. The song is “Roar” by Katy Perry I own nothing.
