atelophobia
The sea was all that stayed with you through this skirmish. The smell of salt water had become sickening. Before you lies the coast. This is your last chance to redeem yourself. All those unjust casualties were your fault. You watched the ocean water dissipate into the sea shore. Dread fills your body, you checked your watch attached the pendant with your family's photo on it. You maintained your weaponry one last time. The crew of the ship was enthusiastic and ready for the upcoming battle ahead of you. The joys of the young navy filled you with a sense of nostalgia from your glory days. Now, you are but a disgrace. A disgrace of an Admiral. You admired the blue sky once again, reaching your hand out, imagining what comes after death. You held your saber close, a symbol of what you were at your greatest. You smiled a bittersweet grin, looking at the machine of war that awaited your control. Whatever deity is up there, you believe they'll bless your last fight. Composer's note: I made this in the morning while groggy as hell, I had fun with it though. (render by @ai_shadow8010)
