Basics:
In a back flying position, begin by moving towards your feet and generating lift with arms and torso. As you tilt your head back, extend your legs and keep a neutral chest. As you travel across the tunnel, keep a close eye on your distance from the opposite wall. When you are ready to dive down the wall, keep your chin tucked in until you are approaching the net. As you come out of the dive, lift your chin up to flatten out the body in the wind. Reach out with your arms to slow your forward momentum on your belly.
Common mistakes
Pushing with the chest, not straightening the legs, raising arms over head, and throwing the head backwards.
Keys to success
Knowing how to get out of the maneuver will be key.
