Baldr/Baldur/Balder is the Norse God of light, forgiveness, wisdom and courage. Son of Odin and Frigg.
Baldr is most famous not for his life as a God, but for his death. Baldr’s death by Loki’s trickery is what will lead to the events of Ragnörok, not just the end of Midgard, but the end of all Nine Worlds.
I chose the song “Time of Dying” by Three Days Grace because it made me think of what Baldr would be thinking of as he’s dying and knowing what his death will bring.
