Freyja, goddess of love, beauty, fertility, war, gold, sex and magic. Twin sister of Frey. Wife of Óðr. Mother of Hnoss and Gersemi. Ruler of Fólkvangr. And in Magnus Chase, the mother of Blitzen.
Freyja is one of my favorite goddesses. One reason is because her chariot is pulled by cats, and as a cat person, that’s a win for me.
I used the song “Sacrifice” by Sharon Lyons. This song was used in Vikings in the episode Sacrifice. I thought it was appropriate to use this song for Freyja.
