Went up to Skyline lake and beyond as a first time tour to practice splitboard transitions and actually had some great snow.
Added in a hike up to the rock garden on the ridge above the lake - this has really cool rock formations and the fresh snow made it even more unreal.
The way back down had some flat areas which were annoying, but lots of lower angle wide open slopes with few or no tracks and soft snow.
