Beyond the Mask
Beyond the Mask The gray sky reflects the signal A silent scream, good against evil I hide my face behind metal and color So that no one sees my own fear I fly higher than the tallest building here But there's no time that makes me run away From who I am when the day ends And the city light becomes my ruin. Capes in the wind, strength of a titan But who guarantees I'll be here tomorrow? The weight of the world on one person Between the steel of the suit and the body of dust. I'm not just made of superpowers I have scars that no one can see I run against time, I fight against destiny A giant on the outside, a boy on the inside I can stop bullets, I can see what's hidden But in the silence of the night, my heart is my only insult. Fire in my hands or ice in my eyes What is the price of never failing? Except for the stranger, I forget myself A lone hero in an endless cycle They call me a legend, a god, or a myth But no one hears my own cry I traded my life for a greater good But being invincible is what makes me worse. If the mask falls, what will remain? An ordinary man who learned to fight? Or just the shadow of a paper hero? Who tried to be the sun, but got lost in the sky. I'm not just made of superpowers I have scars that no one can see I run against time, I fight against destiny A giant on the outside, a boy on the inside I can stop bullets, I can see what is hidden But in the silence of the night, my heart is my only insult. Beyond the mask... (Beyond the mask...) Just a man. Beyond the mask... I also feel pain.
