Big Trouble

The plaintiff and her son say the son has been friends with the defendant since middle school. The plaintiff says she believed the defendant could be trusted, until he turned 16 and got his license. She claims the defendant once stole her car. On another occasion, she says, he drove her car with her son’s permission and crashed it. She is suing for damages. The defendant and his parents say the plaintiff cannot be trusted because she was recently charged with serving alcohol to minors. He admits he crashed her vehicle but claims he was driving only because her son was too drunk to do so.
