The plaintiff says she went to her niece’s home one night to retrieve some of her belongings, but a fight ensued. She claims the defendant was belligerent, and she feared for her safety, so she grabbed a small knife for protection. As she was leaving, the defendant grabbed a shovel and vandalized her vehicle. The defendant says the knife her aunt attacked her with was large, and she cut her more than once. She admits damaging the plaintiff’s vehicle, and in retaliation, her aunt jumped onto her car and began punching the hood with her fist. She’s countersuing for car damages and pain and suffering.
