Boracay beach walk
A vacation in Station 1 of Boracay offers some of the island’s most peaceful and scenic beachfront—and one of the nicest walks you can take is heading north along the shore to the grotto. 🌴 Beach Walk: Station 1 to the Grotto Start your walk along the powdery white sand of Station 1, known for having the widest and least crowded stretch of beach on Boracay. The sand here is famously fine—almost like flour—and the water is typically calm, especially in the morning. As you stroll north, you’ll pass upscale resorts and quieter beachfront areas. The vibe is relaxed, with fewer vendors and more open space compared to Stations 2 and 3. The gentle sound of waves and the sea breeze make it an easy, enjoyable walk. After about 10–15 minutes, you’ll reach Willy’s Rock, the island’s most iconic natural landmark. ⛪ Willy’s Rock Grotto Willy’s Rock is a volcanic rock formation just off the shore, topped by a small statue of the Virgin Mary inside a grotto. During low tide, you can walk right up to it on the sand; at high tide, you may need to wade through shallow water. A short staircase carved into the rock lets you climb up for a closer look and a panoramic view of the beach—perfect for photos, especially at sunset when the sky turns golden. 🌅 What Makes This Walk Special • Quiet, scenic stretch of Boracay • Softest sand on the island • Easy, flat walk—good for all ages • Beautiful photo spots at Willy’s Rock • Best experienced early morning or late afternoon
