It's a brownie and a cookie! ►Subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/cookinginnancishomekitchen?sub_confirmation=1 FOLLOW NANCI & ORDER FROM HER BAKERY ►FaceBook: https://facebook.com/NancisBakeShop ►Instagram: https://instagram.com/nancisbakeshoppe ►Tumblr: https://nancisbakeshoppe.tumblr.com ►Twitter: https://twitter.com/NancisBakeShopp #CINHK #CookingInNancisHomeKitchen #NancisBakeShoppe ▼BROOKIES RECIPE▼ ================== Ingredients: •2 sticks unsalted butter •⅓ cup cocoa powder •⅞ cup sugar •⅞ cup brown sugar •1 teaspoon salt •3 eggs •2 teaspoons vanilla extract •1 ¾ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips •1 ⅚ cup all purpose flour •½ teaspoon baking powder •¼ teaspoon baking soda Directions: •Soften a stick of unsalted butter to room temperature and set aside. •Preheat an oven to 350 degrees. •Melt a stick of unsalted butter. •Grease a 9"x13" baking pan with pan grease (see How to Make Pan Grease) and set aside. •Lightly beat 2 eggs and set aside. •In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and ⅓ cup cocoa powder until combined. •Whisk in half a cup sugar, half a cup brown sugar and half a teaspoon of salt until combined. •Whisk in the lightly beaten eggs until combined. •Whisk in a teaspoon of vanilla extract until combined. •Whisk in half a cup of all purpose flour until combined. •Using a spoon or spatula, stir in ¾ of a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. •Pour the brownie mixture into the 9"x13" pan, spread the mixture evenly over the bottom of the pan and set aside. •Lightly beat an egg and set aside. •Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, mix on high the softened butter, ⅜ of a cup brown sugar, and ⅜ of a cup sugar for 2-3 minutes. •Mix in a teaspoon of vanilla extract and the lightly beaten egg on high for 2 minutes. •Mix in 1 ⅓ cups all purpose flour, a half a teaspoon of salt, a half teaspoon of baking powder and ¼ teaspoon baking soda until just combined. •Using a spoon or spatula stir in a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. •Using a large cookie scoop, scoop the cookie dough on top of the brownie mix in the pan. •Cover the pan with aluminum foil. •Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. •Remove the aluminum foil. •Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes, or until no longer jiggly in the middle. •Let cool in the pan for about 20 minutes.
