Today has proven to be a busy day. My morning began with a bit of a bucket blunder when I accidentally mixed up the grain between 2 same colored feed buckets. Luckily, I caught my mistake in time, but I am realizing that I should order more buckets in a greater variety of colors to help ensure this doesn’t happen again. This way each horse can have their own color bucket and I won’t have as many duplicates.
The second issue I was faced with today involved a trough which had iced over. Because my deicer cord and extension cords are still buried under 6+ inches of ice, I am needing to carefully dig around and search for the ends to ensure everything is properly connected. Hopefully I can get my deicer back on track soon because we are still experiencing super cold temperatures.
