Buttons
This song is about my Aunt Agnes. She was a powerful woman of God and prayer warrior. Her vision about the Buttons of Promise is below. Buttons Original lyrics by Ron Lewis Buttons of Promise: A few years after my Mother went to be with the Lord, I saw a vision, My Mother came to me In the vision, and said, she had something she wanted me to take care of, to keep for her. I was at my Mother's house. My elder sister Evelyn was also there. Mom asks me to come into her bedroom, where she had kept all of her important things in her older purses. We followed her into her bedroom, where she kept all of her older purses stored in her bedroom closet. Mom loved purses and shoes, she always kept all of her older purses, which she used to keep important papers in, and to put things she wanted to keep. She began to search through each purse, until she found the things she wanted me to keep for her. After each purse was searched, she would toss it onto her bed. Soon there was a large pile of purses upon her bed. Evelyn and I were laughing at her frantic search, and we could hardly catch our breath. Finally, she found the purse she was searching for, and reach inside it and pulled out a scarf filled with buttons, she handed it to me and said, Agnes you take care of these for me, As I looked into the scarf, I saw that it was filled with buttons. The buttons were all sizes and shapes. As I look at the buttons, suddenly they began to turn to silver, and all of the buttons holes were filled in. Right before my eyes as I watched. I looked up and I was all alone in the room. I wondered, what does this mean? I began to pray, and I asked God, what is the meaning of the vision? Then I heard the voice of the Lord, say to me what does a button do? I answered and said, they secure something. He said to me, these buttons represent your Mothers whole family to be saved, you are to stand for them to be saved. I began to get very excited, at the thought, that God, had entrusted me, to hold the Buttons of Promise. This promise is to you and your entire family. On three separate occasions, I was ministered to, by three different ministers. None of them knew me; I was very blessed to be given this great promise from the Lord. This has been an awesome walk of faith, which I am happy to be entrusted, of the Lord Acts 2: 39, For this promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Later, I was in a meeting, and Brother Walace Heflin was praying over me, He began to prophecy, and he said; God Said, You are standing for your family, and not one will be lost. From the hardest on to the easiest, all will be saved. I thought of my nephew Max, and how God reached him. Great hope filled my spirit. Max, didn't believe, and God revealed himself to him and he accepted the Lord Jesus as his Savior. Then he went to visit his Dad, who was also an unbeliever, He said, Dad, promise me that you will accept Jesus, the only true God. My Brother-in-Law got saved before he went to be with the Lord. I began to Praise the Lord, for this was a confirmation. I was in a revival meeting and a brother came over to me and he said, God said you are standing for your family and not one will be lost. Hallelujah! I was so inspired in my spirit, God's love us so great, that he not only confirmed it twice, but, then he confirmed his promise to me again, the third time. The third time, God confirmed the promise, I was in Greenville Tx, with four of my sisters, there was a Jewish Minister there. He was not scheduled to preach, but the minister who was supposed to preach could not speak. So, he kept signaling the Jewish Minister to take his place. He finally realized that he was being tagged, He asked, are you tagging me? The other minister shook his head, yes. When he got up to minister, He called me out and began to speak over me, Again, God said, You are standing for your family and not one will be lost, It was so powerful that I fell to the floor under the mighty power of God; After ministering to me, He began to preach, and after a little while I attempted to get up, but I fell back to the floor, and couldn't get up. While he continued to preach, I was aware that I couldn't get up, but I tried once again. He said, stay there Sis, God is not finished with you. As I lay there, the vision began to play back into my spirit, I could see the buttons, all of them were filled, and all were silver. God spoke to me with a greater assurance, that I could claim not only my family, but all, that I would claim would be saved. I am still claiming my family and many others, and I am convinced, that nothing can steal any of them away from me. No, not one, that I claim will be lost. God has given me his word, as a token, for the Buttons of Promise. Lord they are thine, and they are mine. Amen. God is no respecter of persons, He will do the same for you, if you believe, and accept the promise as your own.
