From an assignment done by one of Lynda Barry's "What It Is" students at the University of Wisconsin Madison on February 28, 2012. Students wrote a 9 minute story, and then folded a pale green piece of scrap paper 8.5x11 inch paper into four panels. They had about a minute to make four rough sketches of a scene from the story they just wrote, using non-photo blue pencil. Then they had about 4 minutes to ink each frame with a black Flair pen.
