Cable Tool Drilling-Bit Dressing Forge Tour

This is showing our setup for dressing our cable tool bits. You can see the jib crane, No. 12 Bucyrus-Erie Bit Dresser, our gravity-fed fuel tank full of diesel fuel, our Shop-Vac blower, forge, bit storage box, and slack tub. There is a building on tracks that slides back over the machine when not in use. The bit box has a crank-up top to gain access for the crane. Most of the bits you see in the box have already been dressed. The bits on the ground beside the fuel tank are prepared for dressing. The faces are trimmed to fit the die, and the sides are cut back to the same diameter as the shank.
