Welcome to One on One: Basic Step Tutorial #1. This 12-minute basic step tutorial is designed for someone who has never participated in step aerobics before and the content will start from the ground up.
This is the first of many in an ongoing series of step tutorials and each tutorial will focus on teaching a few of the most basic elements in each mini educational workout. The goal of these basic step tutorials is to take the non-stepper to an eventual goal of becoming a confident intermediate to advanced stepper with all of my step workouts.
To participate you’ll need a full-sized step. You can start with just the platform which is a 4-inch step height. Or you can start with one riser under each side, which I’ll be doing, and that is a 6-inch step height. If at any time you prefer to go up one more riser under each side that will be an 8-inch step height and this height is purely optional.
