My daughter was in 6th grade then, long long ago. She is now 21 yrs old. One of my fav memories, hands down. Made it up based on my mom's recipe: First you melt the butter, theeeenn you mix the batter...put the batter on the butter, (get confused THEN)...put the cherries on the batter, (get confused again)....sprinkle sugar all over and cook it FOREVER!!!! -and yell into yer dad's ear. Ya, it's so old I even had hair back then!!!!! One of my fav family videos we made ! ...and she loves to cook now! ha ha!
