Chicken Dumplings
Chicken Dumplings (or Dumplins as I've always called them) is a warm, delicious meal! Recipe: 7 cups of chicken broth 1/2 stick melted butter salt and pepper to taste 1 small can cream of chicken soup Boil together on stove while you are making dumplings. Dumplings: 2 cups all purpose (plain) flour 1/2 cup Crisco shortening 3/4 cup regular milk (buttermilk, cold broth or water works) Roll out thin and cut in 1-inch by 2-inch pieces. Drop in boiling broth. Let cook, stirring lightly so they won't stick. Takes about 15 minutes for dumplings to get done on medium heat. Finally, add 2 cups or more of cooked cubed chicken.
