Most corporate sustainability efforts remain incremental, focusing on reducing harm rather than transforming systems. That’s insufficient to address escalating environmental challenges. Transformative change needs circularity—a systemic approach that eliminates waste, optimizes resource use, and regenerates natural systems. This article introduces the concept of dynamic capabilities for circularity—sensing opportunities, seizing them, and reconfiguring resources and relationships to deliver long-term sustainability. Bridging theory and practice offers both conceptual clarity and practical guidance for organizations to lead in the circular economic transition. This roadmap, illustrated with examples from the construction and development sector, inspires firms moving toward systemic, regenerative business practices.
