For the determination of the water absorption of sized paper and board, incl. corrugated board (except for the Cobb-Unger Model) under standard conditions. It may not be suitable for paper of less than 50g/m² or for porous papers such as newsprint or un-sized papers such as blotting paper or other papers having a relatively high water absorption. A test piece is weighed immediately before and immediately after exposure of one surface to the water for a specified time, followed by blotting. The result of the increase in mass is expressed in grams per square meter (g/m²). The standard model has a test area of 100cm². http://www.frankpti.com/papierprfgerte/cobb-l--und-wasseraufnahme-tester-ds123.html
