Difference between CONTINUE & NEXT SENTENCE in COBOL The video explains the subtle difference between CONTINUE & NEXT SENTENCE in COBOL programming language, Both CONTINUE & NEXT SENTENCE are typically used in conditions such as IF/ELSE/EVALUATE and they do nothing meaning they just act like a NULL STATEMENT. The difference is that CONTINUE transfers the control to the statement after the explicit scope terminator (i.e. END-IF END-EVALUATE..) and NEXT SENTENCE transfers the control to the statement after the implicit scope terminator ( i.e. period) If you need a mainframe ID for practice then drop in your email ID in the comments section and I will contact you for the settings and the cost associated with it.
