This is a two-year program and it'll take a sustained effort to complete the program and develop the skills you need to become a journey worker. Completing the OJT and training requirements is going to require a lot of commitment on your part. But to complete that, will give you the knowledge and skills you need for a successful career as a construction craft laborer. - Employers May require - Have a driver’s license - Speak English Requirements - Consistently pass drug tests - There may be background checks on specific jobs - If you have a felony in your background, be transparent that you won’t be eligible for that work. Remember, you’ll want to complete 4000 hours on the job and 300 hours of related training to graduate the apprenticeship program. You will need to track your on-the-job hours and get an evaluation from your supervisor every month and report them to the apprenticeship program. Attending training is a critical part of the apprenticeship program and you’ll need to spend 4 weeks each year of your apprenticeship in training.
