Compensation tutorial

This is a two hour course on Sinumerik CNC compensation targeted at maintenance personnel. The topics include the theory of compensation, single and bi-directional compensation, rotary compensation, squareness, and inch/metric conversion. Generally, this covers Sinumerik controls from the late 90’s to the present (currently, the early 2020’s). 840D, 840D sl, 828D, 802D, 808D, and Sinumerik One all utilize these general methods. The target audience for this course is expected to be able to load/manipulate/execute part programs and machine data. The target audience will need to be able to move data from the metrology software into some provided Excel sheets to utilize efficient loading of data.
