See Below for Video Timeline This video describes the functions available in the Operate trace tool. Topics covered include selecting a variable, understanding the timing, triggering, NC and drive traces, and viewing/scaling/zooming the trace results. Some quick reference variables are listed below: Servo\Position Actual Value Meas. System X – The uncompensated position from the encoders/scales. NC\Position Setpoint – The uncompensated command/setpoint. Axis\Act Tool Base Position or Typed directly\$AA_IM[X] – Position Setpoint, Machine coordinates, the compensated command position for an axis. Servo\Velocity act. value active encoder – The velocity from the encoder which is being used by the position loop. Servo\Following error – The difference between the commanded position and the actual position. Servo\Contour Deviation – The difference between the modeled following error and the actual following error. Servo\Load (m_set/m_set,limit)– A composite of the limiting power/current/torque of the motor/drive showing the value from the signal which is using the highest percentage of its limit. Servo\Torque-prod. Current act. Val. I(q)– A signed value showing how much current is being used to generate torque (or force for linear motors), often used to look for mechanical problems. $AN_SlTrace is the trace trigger variable. Typed directly - IB3, Input byte 3 from the PLC Typed directly - Q3.2, Output byte 3, bit 2 from the PLC Video Timeline: 00:00:00 Intro 00:00:52 Add a variable, start a trace 00:03:05 Scaling / Zooming 00:07:20 Cursors 00:09:12 Types of variables available, common variables 00:14:12 Scaling more than one variable 00:17:10 Timing and sample rates 00:20:45 Triggers 00:25:00 Saving traces 00:26:51 Drive traces 00:31:08 More common variables #MRCNC #Sinumerik
