Counting Paths | Allie & Harry

Phew, this is a lot. This started as a way to justify me shipping them for more reasons than that they are both hot but I ended up having a lot of feelings about the way the parallel and contrast with each other in how they deal with loneliness, fear, (loss of) power and control, etc. I'm sure some parts of this will only make sense to me bc there were some things I couldn't figure out how to convey - like how Harry ends up almost exactly where he started but is worse off because he is truly alone whereas Allie's strength is her compassion, her friendships, and how she always is trying to do what is best for the most amount of people even if she fails. But anyways! I just think both of these characters and their dynamic is so fascinating and I'm sooo looking forward to seeing how it will continue. And for the record, while I showed more of Harry's sympathetic moments, I'm not trying to romanticize all of Harry's actions. I'm hoping for a redemption arc that lasts at least a season and their dynamic to be a very slow burn that betters both of them (but again, mostly Harry).
