Crosshole Pile Testing, also known as CSL (Crosshole Sonic Logging) or CHUM Testing, is a non-destructive test used to assess the integrity and quality of concrete piles. In this method, ultrasonic waves are transmitted between access tubes installed inside the pile, and the signal travel time and energy are measured. It helps detect defects such as voids, cracks, honeycombing, or weak zones within the pile. This test is widely used in deep foundation projects to ensure structural safety and reliability.
