It could use some taxpayer juice but hey. I am brainlet, any help for sorting out the numbers and determine my actual altitude would be greatly appreciated :D I think eyeballing a height reference, not using parallax and triangulometry probably made my first attempt erroneous. Assuming that RoC (rate of climb) remained steady throughout the flight was probably not super-duper sciencey as well. The thing is, it is damn near impossible to just look around and establish visual references too, so I just had to guess lol. As for the freefall method, one thing that may alter the final result is the fact that the player character may not undergo a full 12 seconds of acceleration phase before reaching terminal velocity. You seem to reach that milestone almost right away, actually. Also! One thing I have to say. I realize that when Crysis came out all the way back in 2007, it came with a little thing called "Sandbox Editor"... And that this video will seem utterly pointless and maybe even r*tarded to the vast majority of the PC Ubermenscht legion. HOWEVER, you guys HAVE to realize that flying in a game where you are NOT supposed to, through normal means at least, feels VERY special EVERY TIME. I found this trick on my own, and as far as I know, only one video from 18 years ago shows this method, and not to this extent (because that guy prolly had a life lmao)... So yeah, I know flying in Crysis is f*cking whatever, but I don't care! Try flying on PS5 see how that goes haha ;) Also this method is terrible, it needs incredible execution with certain platforms, namely boats and most flat board-type objects. Physics stop applying properly and distributing loads is actually backwards (sometimes?).. like if you start pitching forward, you need to actually move forward to even it out. It's a bit like inverted controls on fentanyl, but less reliable.
