“DARE" is a piece about what one does in the face of chaos and disaster. Do you let yourself become absorbed in what went wrong, or do you celebrate what feels right? This song is about how despite the state of our society, one must hold themselves together and dare to push themselves forward to bring about change. These people show that they want to let loose and become free of this pressure and uniformity, especially under the spell of this fictional “curse" in the narrative of the piece. Therefore, instead of being passive and going through the same motions of life, the dancers gather the strength to break the cycle of passiveness and repetition to push forward, be yourself, and relish in the life you have in order for change to happen.
